Description

Nos 12 and 14 on South Street are early 19th-century buildings featuring a slate roof with one hip and two flat-roofed dormers. They stand three storeys tall with a parapet and have four windows that are two-light casements. The exterior is faced with roughcast and includes stuccoed bands between all storeys and below the top of the parapet, as well as vertical bands of stucco on either side of the windows. This decorative style is similar to that found on the facade of the Bell Public House in West Street. The ground floor has a modern shop front. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 46 (even).
