Description
This is a group of four early 19th-century houses situated on the north-west side of High Street. They are two storeys high, with five windows in total. The houses are stuccoed, except for number 227, which is red brick. They have an eaves cornice, and numbers 225 and 227 have slate roofs, while numbers 229 and 231 have tiled roofs. The original glazing bars remain intact in the windows. Each doorway is topped with a fanlight: number 227’s fanlight is semi-circular, while the others are rectangular. Number 225 has a flat hood supported by brackets above its doorway. Number 227 includes an attic storey with one dormer window.
