Description
This is an 18th-century building on the south-east side of High Street. It is two storeys high, with an attic, and constructed of brick. The building has a moulded cornice and a capped parapet, both rendered. There are five windows, with the western window bay slightly recessed. The sash windows retain their original glazing bars and are set within narrow reveals, topped with flat arches and rubbed brick dressings. Modern shop fronts have been inserted on the ground floor. The site was formerly occupied by the Star Inn. A photograph of the building is held in the NMR archive.
