Description
Gosden Cottages is a row of cottages built in the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The cottages are constructed of red brick at the lower level and feature tile hanging above the gables, some of which have fishscale banding. They have shallow-pitched slate roofs and are two storeys high, with a front end stack located to the right.
On the left side, there are two 16-pane glazing bar sash windows on both the first and ground floors, each with flush canopy hoods above. The central entrance features a panelled door, with the top two panels glazed and topped by a transom light. The door is set within panelled reveals and is adorned with a triangular pediment or gable supported by brackets, which has shallow dentilled decoration.
The right-hand return front of Nos 10 and 11 is three storeys tall and has casement windows with diamond pattern glazing tracery. There is a door on the ground floor to the left, which is sheltered by a hipped hood supported by wooden brackets. Additionally, there is a single-storey extension at the left end of the row.
