Description

The Beardmore Vault, located 3 yards east of the Church of St. Martin, is a chest tomb dedicated to the Beardmore family. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of stone, resting on a stone plinth. The tomb features panelled sides and a flat lid with a moulded edge, along with recessed moulded angle piers. The remains of a railed surround are still evident. This structure is included for its group value.
