Description

The lodge and stable block to Norney Grange was built in 1903/4 by C. A. Voysey. It features roughcast walls with limestone dressings and slate roofs, some of which are hipped. The main lodge is two storeys tall, while the stable range at the rear left is single storey, arranged around a square courtyard.

On the street front, there is a gable to the left with a tiled band over the first floor. A three-light leaded casement window is located on the first floor. The range to the right is set back and has a similar tile band, with a three-light flat-roofed window through the eaves and a battering buttress at the right end. A ridge stack is positioned at the rear. The single storey range set back to the right features two louvred, square domed lanterns on tapering plinths.

On the left-hand return front, the entrance has an irregular hexagonal stack to the front right and a gable to the left. There is one first floor leaded casement window to the left and an angle bay window below it. To the right, there are two single-light ground floor windows, one on either side of the chimney stack. The centre has a half-glazed door beneath a flat porched hood on braces, which is decorated with half spheres and continues into the gable. The courtyard range set back to the left contains double garage doors leading to the single storey rear range, with ridge lanterns above.
