Description

These are two houses, built in the mid-19th century. The front of the houses is constructed of red brick, while the sides and rear are built of nodular flint with red brick dressings. They have a hipped roof covered in modern tiles, and a red brick chimney stack. The houses are two storeys high, with sash windows featuring glazing bars. Each house has a front door above an oblong fanlight. Single-storey lean-to extensions at the rear of each house contain a range of casement windows. The interiors have not been inspected. The houses are notable as a good surviving example of mid-19th century vernacular architecture, and retain some group value with nearby buildings such as the 18th century Bugby Chapel (Grade II), despite the loss of other historic buildings in the area.
