Description
The former ice house to Pitt Place, likely built in the 18th century, is a single-storey structure made of red brick. It features two parallel passages that lead to the ice house, which is situated within the sides of a former chalk pit. The ice house has a domical vault with an open oculus at the top. The entrance to the passage was originally topped with crenellations, and there are two doorways that once had doors.
