GV II

House. 1938 by Ian Forbes in Georgian tradition. Brown ham stone ashlar with roofs obscured by attic and parapets. 2 storeys with attic to centre on moulded plinth. Concave segmental front with centre pavilion and two storey projecting quadrant walls to panelled end piers supporting stacks. 3 bay pavilion to centre with projecting bow to middle rising to gull height. Casement windows in incised surrounds with keystones over, the central first floor window dropping down into ground floor. Centre door under projecting flat hood. Single storey walls to sides with oval windows, entrance walls across the front ending in circular piers supporting lamps. Garden(south) front: curving away from the centre at 45 degrees. 3 bay wings separated by square piers from 5 bay centre. Central first floor bay to outer wings contain doubled casement doors to balcony. Round arched windows across the ground floor. Central 5 bays on first floor set back behind balcony with iron balustrade.
