Description

The Village Cross in Broadwell is a medieval structure, likely dating from the 15th century. It is made of limestone ashlar and has an octagonal plan. The cross features an impressive flight of five steps leading up to a pedestal that has broach stops. The tall first step includes a chamfered plinth and coping. The shaft of the cross stands approximately 1.5 metres high.
