Description
The Old Swan Hotel is a hotel that likely dates back to the early 17th century, with a 16th-century cross-wing on the left and a 20th-century alteration. The building is constructed of coursed stone rubble, featuring large timber framing with roughcast infill on the first floor to the left, and has a stone slate roof with stone ridge stacks positioned to the left and right of the center.
The hotel is two stories high and has a three-window main range, along with a two-story cross-wing to the left. There is a plank door leading to a stone porch at the center, and another plank door to the right of center. The end of the cross-wing on the first floor jetties out. The windows exhibit irregular fenestration with casements, and there are cross-gables to the left of center and to the right. The gable end of the cross-wing features a collar-truss roof truss. Inside, the ground floor has been opened up, but some timber framing remains visible.
