Description
This is a bale tomb located about 2 meters southwest of the Kempster Memorial. It dates from the late 17th century to the early 18th century and is made of ashlar stone. The tomb features high relief fruit and garland ornamentation with putti on the long sides, and scroll end panels. The spiral bale is divided into two parts, with ends that include a cartouche and peascod ornament. There is an oval panel on the west end, which is empty, while the east end panel is defaced. This is considered an excellent example of a bale tomb.
