Description

This is a surviving fragment of a foundry, originally a house, located on the north side of Witney Street in Burford and Upton. It dates back to the 15th century and has been altered over time. The structure is made of coursed and squared ashlar-quality rubble and steps up to the right. To the right, there is a 15th-century archway with a moulded label, and to the left, a two-light window featuring a rebated chamfered mullion and a drip. Additionally, there is evidence of a moulded plinth at the base.
