Description

This is an early 18th-century bale tomb located about 17 meters southwest of the porch of the Church of St John. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features panelled sides with four panels on the long sides. The tomb has a moulded plinth and cornice, and a plain hipped bale. One date is partially legible, reading 1708, which is associated with Sarah, the wife of Edmund (the incumbent). Additionally, there is a shaped panel at the west end that displays a wool-mark.
