Description

This is a wall attached to and located north of Woodstock Lodge, dating from around 1723, likely designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor. It is constructed from squared and coursed limestone with an ashlar coping. The wall is approximately 12 metres long and features a curve leading to an ashlar pier, which has a moulded entablature that forms the side of the entry to the courtyard. Blenheim Park, where this wall is situated, is included in the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission Register of Parks and Gardens at Grade I.
