Description
Taynton House is an early 18th-century house constructed of stone ashlar with a stone slate roof featuring coped end gables. It has a stone ridge stack positioned to the left of center and an end stack on the right. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door topped by a flat hood supported by shaped stone brackets. All window openings feature 12-pane unhorned sashes, with the ones on the left having wooden lintels. There is a gabled full dormer on the left side with a two-light casement, and a sloping roof light on the right. To the left, there is a wing made of coursed stone rubble, also with a stone slate roof and a central stone ridge stack. This wing is single storey with an attic and has an irregular arrangement of windows. The interior has not been inspected.
