Description
This building is a barn with a stable and granary, dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with a later 18th-century addition. It is constructed from roughly squared and coursed limestone, featuring some stone dressings, and has a roof made of stone slate and corrugated iron. The barn is arranged in three bays and is positioned at right angles to the road, with the granary located at the rear. There are opposed central entrances to the barn, which have a pair of boarded doors and a wooden lintel on the north-west side. The gable end facing the road includes an owl hole and an inserted 20th-century casement window, with another inserted 20th-century casement on the south-east side. The granary and stable are located at the rear, with a lean-to structure at the front. Inside the barn, there are collar and tie-beam trusses, and a former loft door in the gable end at the rear, which is now internal. This building is included for its group value.
