Description

This bale tomb, dating from the mid-18th century, is located about 4 meters south of the blocked entrance to the Guild Chapel of the Church of St John. It is constructed of ashlar and features a continuous acanthus-carved baluster shape at each end, along with a moulded plinth and coping. The tomb has a fluted bale with a scallop end on the west side and an escutcheon on the east side, showcasing fine baroque design elements.
