Description

Manor Farmhouse, now a house, likely dates from the early 17th century, with an early 19th-century cross-wing added to the left, and 20th-century alterations. The farmhouse is built of coursed stone rubble with areas of squared stone work, and has a complex stone slate roof with stone end stacks to the right-hand block and ridge stacks to the cross-wing on the left. The right-hand block is a 2-bay range of two storeys and an attic, while the cross-wing to the left is a 5-bay range of two storeys and an attic. A 3-bay, single-storey-and-attic range sits in the centre. The central range features a 19th-century ribbed wood door with a flat hood supported on stone brackets. 20th-century glazed doors are located to the left of the right-hand range and to the right return of the cross-wing, with a plank door and overlight situated to the right. The window arrangement is irregular, consisting of stone mullion windows, with the exception of a 4-light stone mullion and transom window on the ground floor of the central range. A 20th-century gabled dormer with a 3-light casement window is visible on the central range, and there are two cross-gables on the right-hand range, featuring 2-light stone mullion windows. 20th-century sloping roof-lights are present on the cross-wing. Inside, the farmhouse features a 20th-century staircase. The roofs include butt-purlins, with the roof of the right-hand range featuring raised collars. The interior consists of 20th-century doors and fireplaces.
