Description
The Elizabeth and Henry Sules bale tomb, located about 7 meters southeast of the porch of the Church of St John, is an early 19th-century structure made of ashlar stone. It features large format panelled sides, a moulded plinth and cornice, and panelled end piers. The tomb has a plain bale with raised bobbin moulding at the ends, which is adorned with scallops. On the south side, there is a central panel depicting a putto above swagged drapery in high relief, flanked by outer piers decorated with fruit and flower garlands.
