Description
This is a group of four chest tombs located approximately 5 meters southeast of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary in Cogges, Witney. The tombs date from the late 18th century to the early 19th century and are made of limestone. Each tomb features a moulded plinth and cornice. The northernmost tomb is dated to the 1770s, while the southernmost tomb commemorates Samuel Druce, who died in 1811. The late 18th-century chest tomb to the south has a deeply moulded plinth and cornices, along with panelled sides. The mid-19th-century tomb is noted as not having special architectural interest.
