Description

The entrance gate, gatepiers, and wall located approximately 10 meters southeast of The Lodge at Rousham Park date from the mid-19th century. Constructed from limestone ashlar, the structure features a short stone-coped limestone rubble wall that ends with piers, each adorned with a moulded plinth, cornice, and ball finial. A later 19th-century wrought-iron gate completes the entrance. This feature is included for its group value, as Rousham Park is listed in the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission Register of Parks and Gardens at Grade I.
