Description
Hordley House gazebo, dated 1750 for John Gregory, is a Grade II listed structure. It is built from limestone ashlar and features a stone-coped gabled roof made of stone slate with moulded kneelers. The gazebo is two storeys high. The gabled front has a keyed flat stone arch above a mid 18th century six-panelled door. The two-storey rear includes a canted bay with 20th century windows that light the upper room. Inside, there is a mid 18th century panelled room with fielded panelling and a stone fireplace. The gazebo is flanked by stone-coped walls that extend approximately 18 metres to the right and 12 metres to the left, where there is a brick stack. It is located on a hillside.
