Description
The Fawdry memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 9 meters southeast of the southeast corner of the Church of St. Mary. It dates from around 1836 and is made of limestone. The tomb is rectangular in shape, featuring a moulded plinth and capping. On the south side, there is a moulded inscription panel with fluted fans at the corners, commemorating John Fawdry, who died in 1836. A similar inscription panel on the north side is in memory of his wife, Mary. There are additional inscription panels on the east and west sides. The maker's name, "Meades," is inscribed in the bottom left corner on the south side.
