Description
This is a group of eight chest tombs located approximately 1 to 3 meters south and east of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary. Four of the tombs likely date from the mid to late 17th century and are made of stone, featuring rectangular shapes with panelled sides and some decorative carved panels. They have cornice moulded top slabs with bale tops, and one has Salomonic spiral moulding. Two other tombs are probably from the late 17th century, also made of stone and rectangular, with plain designs and panelled ends. One tomb is likely from the early 18th century, made of stone and rectangular, with an inscribed panel on the north side flanked by scrolls, panelled ends, and a moulded flat slab on top. The last tomb is probably from the mid-18th century, made of stone and rectangular, featuring panelled sides and ends, with a moulded edge to the top slab.
