Description
Beaconsfield Farmhouse barn is an 18th-century structure located approximately 50 meters to the southwest of Beaconsfield Farmhouse. It is built from limestone rubble with squared quoins and features a Stonesfield-slate roof. The barn has nine bays and two porches arranged in the pattern of 2:1:3:1:2, and it has been extended several bays to the right to connect with the stable range. The porches have weatherboarding on the gables, which has been extended over the doorways. The rear of the barn includes opposed full-height doors. Inside, the barn features king-post trusses with two pairs of struts. Beaconsfield Farm is situated on the site of a Roman villa.
