Description
Manor Farm Cottages is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been converted into two dwellings, with some 20th-century alterations. The building features a stone uncoursed rubble plinth and red brick with flared headers in Flemish bond on the ground floor. The first floor has render, likely over timber-framing, in the center and right sections, while the left section is also rendered. The roof is covered with old plain tiles, with some 20th-century patching, and is half-hipped on the left side. There is a ridge stack to the left of the center and a large end stack on the right with two diagonally-set brick flues. The original layout was probably a three-unit lobby-entry plan with a cross-wing at the rear right. The building is two stories high and has a four-window range. There is a plank door to the left of center, which is sheltered by a 20th-century open porch with a hipped plain-tile roof. The center and right sections have two 3-light 20th-century casements on both the ground and first floors, while the left side features two-light casements on the ground and first floors, as well as a two-light casement to the left of center. The interiors have not been inspected.
