Description
Holywell Cottage is a house that likely dates from the late 16th century, with some later alterations. The building features a stone uncoursed rubble plinth on the left side, red brick on the ground floor, and small timber-framing with arched bracing on the first floor, which has brick infill, some of which is in a herring-bone pattern. The roof is covered with old plain tiles and is hipped to the left, with a brick ridge stack located to the right of the center. The cottage is two stories tall and has a three-window range, along with a single bay that includes a single storey and attic on the right. There is a 20th-century door in the right bay, accompanied by a 20th-century gabled open porch. All openings have three-light casements with leaded lights, except for a two-light casement with leaded lights on the ground floor to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
