Description
Sparsholt Court is a house that dates back to the early 17th century, with a rear range built in that period, a mid-17th century cross-wing at the rear right, and a front range added in the mid-18th century. The building features a grey brick plinth and is constructed of red brick, topped with an old plain-tile hipped roof. There is a brick end stack on the left and a brick internal stack located to the right of center.
The house is two stories high and has a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a six-panel part-glazed door, which is framed by a painted wood architrave and topped with a flat hood supported by brackets. All window openings contain 16-pane unhorned sashes with flat brick arches. A brick dentil course runs along the eaves. The rear of the building showcases a timber frame with painted render and brick infill. While the interior has not been inspected, it is likely to be of interest.
