Description
Pusey House stables, located approximately 25 metres west of Pusey House, were built in the mid-18th century. The structure is made of coursed limestone rubble and features a stone slate roof with stone stacks. It is two storeys high with an attic and has a four-window range. A semi-circular keyed arch is positioned over a six-panelled door that includes a fanlight. There are flat stone arches above two blocked doors and two blocked windows flanking the main door, along with 18th-century two-light leaded casements on the first floor. The building has two gabled roof dormers that flank a central clock and belfry, which has trefoiled heads to its openings and a weathervane atop a ball finial. The roof is gabled with gable end stacks. The rear features similar 18th-century casements. There are one-storey extensions on both the left and right sides, constructed in similar materials and style, which include 20th-century casements, a six-panelled door in the left range, loft doors in the gabled dormers, and hipped roofs. The interior has not been inspected.
