Description
Box Orchard is a house dating from the early 18th century. It features a roughcast finish on the front and rear, with coursed limestone rubble on the sides, and has a concrete tile roof with brick stacks. The building has a 2-unit plan and is two storeys high, with a two-window range. The door and windows were added in the mid-20th century, along with a gabled dormer. The roof is gabled with stacks at the gable ends. At the rear, there are lean-to structures from the late 19th century and mid-20th century. Inside, there are 19th-century plank doors, and the first floor includes a chamfered and stopped beam on the left. The roof structure consists of a four-bay common-rafter roof with butt purlins.
