Description

This chest tomb, located approximately 25 meters west of the west end of the Church of St. Denys in Stanford-in-the-Vale, commemorates Mary Buckley, who died in 1784. It features a moulded plinth and cornice, with inscription panels on the sides that are flanked by cabling. The tomb is adorned with putti blowing trumpets and trailing leaves and flowers, all carved in low relief. Additionally, there are carved husks on the square corner pilasters and oval end panels that have a cable-moulded border surrounded by leaves and flowers.
