Description
The stable block, located approximately 30 meters northwest of West Hanney House, dates from the early 18th century and has undergone some alterations. It is constructed from coursed stone rubble and features a stone slate roof. The building is single storey with an attic and has a nine-window range. There are stable doors to the left and left of center, garage doors in the center, and a plank door to the right of center. The fenestration is irregular, consisting of casements and openings with louvred woodwork, along with gabled dormers. A hay dormer is positioned to the left of center, and there are two glovers located in the center and to the right, with the center one featuring a weathervane. Inside, there is a feeding rack to the left and a datestone from 1838 in the center. Part of the stable block has been converted into garages.
