Description
Compton Beauchamp House's former coach-house, located approximately 50 metres northeast, dates from the early 18th century. This building, now a house, features a chalk ashlar exterior with a sarsen base and a stone slate roof, although the rear has a more recent tile covering. It is 1.5 storeys high and has a four-window range. A continuous timber lintel runs over all doors and windows. The coach-house has two leaded lights above plank doors set in a heavy frame, with plank double doors on the left. The building also includes four-light wood-mullioned and transomed leaded casements, which have been largely restored in the 20th century, along with a moulded wood cornice. The gabled dormers feature two-light leaded casements and a moulded cornice. The gabled roof has ridge and projecting right end stacks. To the left, there is a single-storey block from around 1900, constructed with chalk block walling and a Welsh slate roof.
