Description
Compton Beauchamp House, formerly a coach house, is located approximately 50 metres northwest of the main house. This building dates from the early 18th century and is constructed of chalk ashlar with a sarsen base and a stone slate roof, featuring brick stacks. It is 1 and a half storeys high and has a four-window range. A continuous timber lintel runs over all doors and windows. The front has two leaded lights above planked doors. At the rear, there are two original two-light leaded casements, two lights above a stable door, and two lights above a six-panelled late 19th-century door. The building also includes an original gabled dormer with two-light leaded casements and a 20th-century dormer with a door. A mounting block at the front faces an identical block, both likely built as improvements around 1710 to Compton Beauchamp House.
