Description

Nos. 1 and 3 Post Office Lane is a house that has been converted into two dwellings. It dates from the 17th century, with additions made in the 18th and 19th centuries. The building features painted brick and a thatched roof. The 19th-century addition on the left is rendered, likely over brick, and has a slate roof. The 18th-century addition on the right has painted brick on the left side and roughcast, probably over timber framing, on the right side, topped with an old plain-tile roof and brick ridge stacks. The structure is two stories high with a two-window range, along with a two-story, two-window addition to the left and a two-story, three-window addition to the right. The windows are irregularly arranged casements, and there are 20th-century doors at the rear. The interior of No. 2 includes open fireplaces on the ground floor and a winder staircase, while the interior of No. 3 has not been inspected.
