Description

The Anvil is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century, with later additions at the rear. It is constructed from painted stone uncoursed rubble, featuring brick dressings, and has a thatched roof that is hipped on the right side. The building has a brick stack at the left end and is a single storey with an attic. It has a two-window range that is positioned at right angles to the lane. There is a sash door located to the right of the center, and the windows exhibit irregular fenestration with casements. Additionally, there are two swept dormers. The interior has not been inspected.
