Description

Downs House Barn, located approximately 10 metres north of Downs House, is a stable that dates back to the 18th century. The barn features weatherboard cladding over a light timber frame set on a brick plinth, topped with a thatched roof. It consists of three bays with a central opening and is aisled to the north. The roof is half-hipped. Inside, there are jowled posts that are braced to the tie beam and wall plate, along with a queen-post truss and clasped purlins.
