Description

The chest tomb located approximately 7.5 metres east of the porch of the Church of St. Michael in Letcombe Bassett dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a moulded plinth and cornice. The corners are adorned with moulded balusters, while the sides display a coat of arms in low relief, topped with a cherub's face and flanked by foliate carvings. Additionally, there is low relief carving on the end panels.
