Description
Waste Court is a building that was "lately erected" in 1779 and is now part of Roysse's school. It has likely been altered in the 19th century and features a modern hipped roof covered with asbestos tiles.
On the Bath Street elevation, there are two flat-topped dormers with casement windows that have glazing bars in moulded frames. The building is constructed from brick, rubble, and stucco, with irregular fenestration. To the left, there is a three-light canted two-storey bay window that is rendered and has double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The right-hand side features a narrow, long canted two-storey bay with sash windows that do not have glazing bars. Three additional windows have segmental arches and brick rusticated architraves. The entrance consists of a plain four-panel door with a rectangular fanlight above it, and there are two brick chimneys.
The garden elevation has two storeys and attics, also made of brick, with two flat-topped dormers and a tiled roof. Most of the windows have flat arches, some with glazing bars and double-hung sashes. The central narrow gable features a segmental arched window with a double-hung sash that lacks glazing bars, positioned above a first-floor round-arched window with 'gothic' glazing. A square porch is faced in ashlar and features a moulded arch with a keystone, cornice, and pediment.
