Description
These stables, located approximately 20 meters north of Spencer's Farmhouse, date from the early 19th century. They are constructed from squared and coursed chalk with brick dressings. The left and right walls have been rebuilt in old brick using concrete blocks. The roof is made of asbestos sheets. Originally designed as one storey with a loft, the building has been modified to a single storey and features a two-window range. A semi-circular brick arch is present over the central plank door, with similar arches over the windows that retain their original iron bars. The roof is gabled. The interior has been remodeled and the roof has been rebuilt. This building is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
