Description

The wall and railings enclosing the garden to the east of Spencer's Farmhouse date from the 18th century and mid-19th century. The structure is made of limestone rubble topped with flat limestone coping stones, featuring limestone ashlar piers and cast-iron railings set on a brick wall at the front. The front wall includes two cast iron gates inscribed with "R. Kimber 1854 Stanford," which are flanked by limestone ashlar piers. This structure is included for its group value.
