Description

Rickerton House is a mid-19th century building with a chequer brick front that may have been refaced from an earlier late 18th century structure. It stands three stories tall and has a slate roof. The façade features a three-window range of glazing bar sashes, with splayed stone lintels that have incised voussoir lines. There is one modern window on the ground floor. The building has a raised plinth and a band at the first floor level, along with a central door that includes a plain fanlight. At the rear, there is a later 19th century two-storey extension that was formerly used as a photographers studio. The building is listed for its group value.
