Description

This chest tomb, located approximately 8 metres south-east of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary, is a memorial dedicated to John Forty, who died in 1806. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a moulded plinth and cornice. The tomb displays Neo-classical motifs on plain corner pilasters, which flank an oval inscription on the side and end panels. Additionally, there is low-relief floral carving along the border.
