Description
Manor Cottage is a house dating from the early 17th century. It is constructed from squared and coursed chalk with chalk quoins and limestone dressings, topped with a thatched roof and featuring brick stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and is two storeys high, with a three-window range. The central 20th-century door is set within a splayed limestone surround, next to a small one-light window also with a splayed limestone surround. The cottage has three-light casements with splayed limestone mullions and surrounds, and label moulds above; there are similar two-light casements at the rear. At the attic level, 20th-century dormers have been inserted. The roof is gabled with end stacks. The interior has not been inspected. To the left, there is a 20th-century extension made of chalk block walling with a thatched roof, and a 20th-century attic storey has been added.
