Description
Cork's Farmhouse Barn, located approximately 20 metres south-west of Cork's Farmhouse, is a barn that has been converted into a house. It dates from the early 18th century and has undergone alterations in the 20th century. The structure features a brick base and a timber frame, which is now infilled with 20th-century brick and covered with 20th-century weatherboarding. The roof is plain tiled and includes a brick stack.
The building is one storey with an attic and consists of a five-bay range. There is a glazed 20th-century door in the gabled, glazed central midstrey, with a plank door to the left. The windows are irregularly placed and consist of 20th-century casements. The roof is half hipped, with 20th-century sloping roof lights and brick ridge stacks on the right. Inside, the barn features queen post roof trusses, and the exterior shows a cladding of the timber frame, with timbers exposed in the central three bays and the midstrey. The timber frame is clad in 20th-century brickwork, with the studs exposed around the 20th-century windows.
