Description

Row Lane Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse that has been converted into a house, with 19th-century additions. The building features flared brick construction with red brick dressings, rubbed brick aprons, and flat arches over the windows. It has a plain tile roof and presents a garden facade that was once the entrance front. The structure is two stories plus an attic and has a five-window range, with the central bay projecting forward approximately 30 centimeters.

The central entrance is a sash door framed by a moulded wood surround and topped with a flat hood supported by decorative brackets. The ground floor's central bay is adorned with fluted and reeded Doric pilasters in rubbed brick, while the first floor features unfluted pilasters. All window openings have 24-pane sashes with thick glazing bars. There is a rubbed brick band between the ground and first floors on either side of the central bay, and the first-floor windows have shaped rubbed brick aprons. The facade also includes three 20th-century flat-roofed dormers and an end stack on the left side.

Inside, there is a rectangular open-well staircase with turned balusters leading from the first to the second floor. Additionally, there is a 19th-century cross-wing to the left of the main structure and a re-set brick dated 1788 located to the right of the central door.
