Description
Stuart House is a pair of townhouses, which may have originally served as shops and residences, dating from the mid-18th century. The building is constructed of grey brick with red brick dressings and features a slate gambrel roof with brick stacks at the rear. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and has a four-window range. The entrances consist of six-panel doors with overlights that have decorative glazing bars, located to the left, center, and right of center. To the left, there is a 36-pane bow window, and to the right, a 40-pane bow window. The ground floor center and first floor have 12-pane sash windows, with those in No. 73 being horned sashes. There are four full dormers, each with 6-pane sashes, and the dormers in No. 73 also feature horned sashes. The interiors have not been inspected.
