Description
Crowsley Park Grotto, located approximately 320 metres southeast of the house, is a Grade II listed structure dating from the early 18th century. It is built of flint and has a single cell plan. The grotto features a central recessed doorway with a pointed arch made of flint, and above this is a flat brick band with a "ruined" top that includes a central flat recess flanked by shallow niches with round heads. The interior, which is built into the hill, consists of a single room with arched recesses in the side walls and a niche in the end wall. The ceiling is rib-vaulted on corbel heads.
