Description

Nos 17 to 23 on Reading Road are an early 19th century terrace group of four houses. They feature a red brick facade with a bracketed eaves cornice and a hipped slate roof. Each house is three storeys high and has one window, with all but one being sash windows that include glazing bars. The doorways are paired and recessed, adorned with fluted pilasters. Berkley House has a projecting porch designed in a modified Doric style, while the other three houses have small, late 19th century shop fronts that have been altered. These houses form a cohesive group.
